each Pn connector has its ground wire attached to the closest available
ground lead,

PBD-ATS to PBD24S Connections

The odd peripheral shelves (those containing no PB-ATSs) are connected to the 32GC

via their respective even shelves (those containing a PB-ATS). The odd shelf is

connected to the even shelf via a FC16 (100cm) or FC18 (50cm discontinued) cable

on the shelves backplanes, see

Odd or Even Shelves on page 6-26

for determining odd

and even shelves.

Locate the PBD24S cards not already connected to an even shelf. One FC16

cable is required for each card.

Connect one side of the FC16 cable to

on the PBD24S by “locking” it onto

the card pins.

Connect the other side of the FC16 cable to

on the even shelf above or

below this shelf, see

Figure 2-16

Repeat this procedure for each “unconnected” odd shelf.
