Inserting the CFD

When the CFD slot is housed on the MCP-ATS card component side, the
MCP-ATS card must be removed from the Control Shelf slot to access the
CFD slot causing the system to shut down while the CFD is replaced.

The CFD card edge is contoured such that it may only be inserted either face down or

face up (depending on the MCP-ATS CFD connector/drive).

Remove the old CFD memory card, as described in

Removing the CFD Flash

Memory Card, page 8-19

Insert the CFD to its slot on the MCP-ATS card.

Insert the MCP-ATS card to the cage. See

CFD Label Description

The CFD label describes the CFD contents, its Catalog number, the loaded Software

version, and the SAU number that must correspond to the SAU device attached on the

front panel of the 32GC on the same side of the MCP-ATS, see also
