Peripheral Shelf Slots

The peripheral shelf contains 18 card slots, designated 1-18.

identifies the card types that may be inserted into card slots 1-18 on

Even

Peripheral

Shelves. Note that Slot1 1-2 are reserved for the PB-ATS.

The odd (

Table 6-2

) peripheral shelves accept any shared service or peripheral

interface card in any of the 3-18 slots and any shared service card in slots 1-2.

Slots 1 and 2 are reserved for the PB-ATS cards on EVEN peripheral
shelves. The backs of the two PB-ATS cards are shaped to match the
inserting track of its appropriate slot to prevent inserting it into the wrong slot.
