Block Diagram

In this configuration full duplication until the level of the PB-ATS card exists. The

PB-ATS card in slot 1 supports the HDLC channel A of the peripheral shelf. The

PB-ATS card in slot 2 supports the HDLC channel B. The voice port for peripheral cards

is supported only from the

Active

32GC. The

Active

PB-ATS card provides the HDLC

and PCM signals for the odd shelf via the PBD24S card. A fault in the PB-ATS card is

detected by the

Active

32GC.

Recognizing Time Slot Configurations

Each PB-ATS supports 128 or 512 PCM time slots, depending on the Peripheral Shelf

Unit backplane type. The 32GC card automatically identifies whether the Peripheral
