Advanced Configuration

Prerequisites

Before clicking the Trim Near Zone button, ensure that:



There is product in the tank.



The product level is below the Near Zone region (0-3.3 ft, 0-1 m) below the Upper
Reference Point).



The ambient temperature is within 104

F (40

C) of the expected ambient

operating temperature.

Procedure

In RRM, select

Setup

Advanced

and click the

Near Zone

tab.

The function can also be reached from

Device specific setup

in the

Guided Setup

(if the command is recommended).

Click

Trim Near Zone

Select

Trim near zone

and click

Click

in the appearing dialog.

When near zone trimming is complete, restart the device.



Select

Tools

Restart Device

Restart the transmitter.

To reset the Trim Near Zone function, do the following:

Select

Setup

Advanced

and click the

Near Zone

tab.

Click

Trim Near Zone

Select

Reset near zone trimming to factory settings

and click

Field Communicator

In a Field Communicator, the Trim Near Zone is reached with the [2, 1, 7, 2] HART sequence
(if the command is recommended) or from the [2, 7, 1] HART sequence.

Wait one minute and restart the transmitter.
