14.1 Licence Agreement
With this License Agreement, REA is granting you a non-exclusive, perpetual right to use the
legally acquired software.
The following applies in particular:
Once you have legally acquired the software, you are authorized to install, use, access and
run the software or interact with it in any other way. All rights not specifically granted are
retained by REA.
You are not authorized to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt or extract the
software or modify it in any other way.
You are not authorized to license, sell, lease or lend the software to third parties, either in part
or in full, or to market the software in any other form without the express permission of REA.
All of the trademarks and service marks mentioned are the property of their respective
owners. This License Agreement does not grant you any rights in respect of the brands and
service marks mentioned.
Without prejudice to any other rights of REA, the license granted to you shall be terminated
automatically should you breach the terms of this License Agreement. In such a case, you are
duty bound to destroy all copies of the software and all of its components.
This License Agreement is governed exclusively by German law. The application of the
national law of another country is excluded.
The license shall always be issued in conjunction with the provision of a REA Barcode
Verification System.
You are permitted to install the software on multiple computers.
The device, complete with hardware and software, can, for example, be sold as a used
product. The buyer shall then be bound by the terms stated in this chapter.
14.2 Limited support and troubleshooting
REA offers support services in connection with the software by providing documentation and
support online or in electronic format. Additional support that is restricted to program-related
issues is provided exclusively by the REA hotline. There is no entitlement to troubleshooting
services.
Paid daily seminars for the explanation of the measurement results and the definition of quality
agreements are offered by REA.
14.3 Export restrictions
The encryption technology used in the software is subject to the export restrictions of the
German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA).
You must ensure that:
You do not export the software or parts thereof (“restricted components”) to any country or
any natural person or legal entity that is subject to the export restrictions.
In particular, you do not export any of the restricted components to any country that is subject
to the export restrictions, or to a citizen of one of these countries, irrespective of his/her
location, who intends to bring the products back or transport them to one of these countries, or
to a natural person or legal entity that you know or suspect will use the restricted components
to design, develop or produce nuclear, chemical or biological weapons, or to a natural person
or legal entity who has been prohibited from participating in export transactions.
Neither the German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) nor any other
authority has suspended, revoked or objected to your exportation rights.
