5.8.2.1 Simple user name
The “TransWin32 User ...” setting is just a text replacement for the name of the Windows user
currently logged in. This setting is intended for operation with TransWin32. Refer to chapter
5.6.1.3.4.1 Device configure <1> Operating system

5.8.2.2 Simple password
The
simple password protection is selected with the button “Protection only with password” (see
figure above). In this mode, all settings except the profile selection are no longer accessible for the
user without a password. Whether adjustment is possible without a password depends on the
setting in the adjustment menu (see chapter 4.3 Adjustment of the measuring apertures 6, 8 and 10

5.8.2.3 User management
After an update of a device without user management, or for the initial installation, neither the user
management nor the password protection is enabled.
The user management must first be enabled (
“protection with user and password”) to take effect. It
can be disabled at any time or completely switched off by deleting all users (see below).
By enabling the user administration, the following changes:
A list of users with their passwords and their rights status is administered. The user list, login and
logout of the users are administered centrally on the device. The respective user must authenticate
himself with his password before using the device.
