ATTENTION: During the update, the power supply unit should always be connected.
If the ScanCheck switches off during an update due to a depleted battery, it must be
sent in for repair by the manufacturer.
ATTENTION: During the device update, do not press any further buttons on the
ScanCheck 3n and do not disconnect any cables!
ATTENTION: Updating a newer version with an older version is
not possible. Such updates will be rejected.
ATTENTION: Updated files ending in .tgz are no longer supported
3.7.1 Updating the device from the USB stick with GUI

Copy update files (scripts "run” and "runsc3" and update file "update.rvu" approx. 13 MB) to
the root directory of a USB memory stick. It is recommended that no further files are on the
stick.
On CD or in the download package: The files are in the directory "bin\CD_Device_SC3".
2. Switch on the ScanCheck 3n device and plug the USB memory stick into the right USB
socket on the REA ScanCheck 3n.
Close sleep mode / low power in the Scancheck 3:

<Setup> button

Button <3> (settings)

Button <4> (device configure)

Button <1> (operating system)

Deactivate the menu item
“sleep/shutdown automatically”

Confirm with the <OK ENTER> button

Start update

<Setup> button

Button <3> (settings)

Button <8> (USB update)

Select the option “Application Update”

Confirm with the <OK ENTER> button
