TROUBLESHOOTING
SmarTrax MD will not find the
guidance line.
SmarTrax MD is not engaged.
Engage the SmarTrax MD system.
The GPS signal is hindered by the
GL1DE speed filter (if applicable).
Disable the GL1DE speed filter.
The LA Aggressiveness setting is
too low.
Increase the LA Aggressiveness
setting.
The OL Sensitivity setting is too
low.
Increase the OL Sensitivity setting
in increments of 1, allowing at least
30 seconds between adjustments.
The machine drives on the
guidance line, but the implement
does not match up to the markers.
The implement is drifting relative
to the tractor.
Enter an antenna offset into the
field computer to compensate for
the drift.
3D terrain compensation is out of
calibration.
Recalibrate 3D terrain
compensation.
After calibration, the machine
drives away from the guidance
line.
An incorrect node orientation was
entered during the SmarTrax MD
system calibration.
1. Verify the node orientation setting
on the 3D Compensation screen.
2. Recalibrate SmarTrax MD.
Wheels are jittery while on-line.
The OL Sensitivity setting is too
high.
Decrease the OL Sensitivity setting
in increments of 1, allowing at least
30 seconds between adjustments.
System slowly oscillates while on-
line.
The OL Sensitivity setting is too
low.
Increase the OL Sensitivity setting
in increments of 1, allowing at least
30 seconds between adjustments.
Machine consistently drives to the
left or right of the guidance line.
One of the PWM Min values is set
too low.
Recalibrate the hydraulics.
The LA Aggressiveness setting is
too low.
• Manually adjust the PWM Min
values.
• Recalibrate the hydraulic system.
The OL Sensitivity setting is too
low.
Increase the OL Sensitivity setting.
Machine consistently skips or
overlaps in the field.
Antenna is position entered in the
field computer does not correlate
with the position on the roof.
Physically re-measure the antenna
height and offset. Adjust the values
in the field computer.
Wheels do not turn fast enough in
LA mode.
The LA Aggressiveness setting is
too low.
Increase the LA Aggressiveness
setting.
Steering wheel is difficult to turn
when attempting to disengage
SmarTrax MD.
The disengage setting in the field
computer is set too high.
Decrease the disengage setting.
Steering wheel is difficult to turn
when attempting to turn the
vehicle while SmarTrax MD is not
engaged.
SmarTrax MD is not installed
correctly.
1. Turn the master switch to on the
mechanical drive to the “OFF”
position.
2. Check he mechanical drive system
for binding conditions.
3. If the problem persists, verify the
