SmarTrax™ MD Calibration & Operation Manual

MECHANICAL DRIVE DIAGNOSTICS

• White steady - The SmarTrax MD system is not

ready to steer.

• Blue flashing - Calibrating.

• White flashing - No CAN communication in the

SmarTrax MD system.

• Blue steady - Ready to steer or steering.

• Blue/white flashing - High speed, driving too fast

(over 18 mph) to engage.

1. Navigate to the SmarTrax Manual Steering

screen.

2. Toggle the master switch on and off,

verifying that the Raven LED logo

changes from white steady to blue

steady.

3. Drive the motor at various settings while

monitoring the Actual Current value.If no

current is drawn and the problem persists,

replace the mechanical drive.

Curvtr/No Yaw

Poor communication between the

SmarTrax node and SmarTrax mechanical

drive.

Check harness connections to ensure

they are secure.
Cycle power to the entire system.

Encod Fail

The hardware inside the mechanical

drive is damaged.

1. Navigate to the SmarTrax Sensor Setup

screen.

2. Manually turn the steering wheel while

monitoring the Wheel Angle value. If no

wheel angle change and the problem

persists, replace the mechanical drive.

GPS Mode

The SmarTrax node is not receiving a

correction accuracy mode high enough

on the current GPS signal.

Verify the GPS settings in the field

computer are correct.
Check the SmarTrax MD harness

connections.

Guide Com

Guidance points are no longer received

by SmarTrax MD.

Verify connections between SmarTrax

MD and the field computer.
Viper Pro Only - Verify that the “Send

Guidance Message” option is selected on

the Lightbar Setup screen.

HC Volt H

SmarTrax MD has detected a supply

voltage greater than 16 volts.
