Switching off the driver card

In order to extend battery life, switch off the
driver card if it is not in use for a lengthy period.
Activating PVTS Plus with the driver card

Switch off the ignition and take the driver card
with you when leaving the vehicle.
If the driver card is far enough away from the
vehicle, PVTS Plus will be activated after around
70 seconds.
Theft of the vehicle can be detected.
Deactivating PVTS Plus with the driver card
e
Place the driver card on the center console inside
the vehicle or have it on your person.
PVTS Plus is deactivated when the switched-on
driver card is located inside the vehicle or is in the
immediate vicinity of the vehicle.
Driver card malfunction
In exceptional cases (e.g., radio wave interference),
the driver card may not be recognized. A warning
message appears on the multifunction display.

identification.

Emergency deactivation of the driver card

If PVTS Plus cannot be deactivated using the
driver card (e.g., if the driver card battery is
discharged or the driver card is lost), contact the
Security Operating Center (SOC) and have the
system deactivated.
Transport
If a vehicle is transported with the ignition switched
on (e.g., on a ferry), activate transport mode.
If the vehicle is not transported in transport mode,
the system may trigger a false alarm that you will be
billed for (for further information, please visit
www.porsche.com/connect).
Activating and deactivating transport mode

Please contact the Security Operating Center
(SOC) before and after transporting the vehicle.
Service
PVTS Plus must be set to service mode in the
following situations:
– During customer service (e.g., for regular
servicing),
– When the vehicle battery is disconnected,
If the vehicle is not serviced in service mode, the
system may trigger a false alarm that you will be

When traveling by aircraft, switch off the driver card
in accordance with the applicable flight guidelines.

– Do not place the driver card in the trunk or engine
compartment, or near metal objects such as
coins.
– Stolen vehicle keys are used in many vehicle
thefts. Do not attach the driver card to the vehicle
key.
Information
PVTS Plus can recognize up to 7 Driver Cards per
vehicle. Only one Driver Card must be present inside
the vehicle. If you want to add, delete or replace a
