Emergency operation of the doors
If the vehicle key remote control does not work, the
doors can also be opened and locked without remote
control.
The remote control may not work for the following
reasons:
– Transmission is interrupted by radio waves.
Make sure not to store the vehicle key together
with switched on electronic devices (e.g. mobile
phones, notebook, charging cable). Change
where you store the vehicle key if necessary.
– The remote control may not function correctly
due to a fault.
– The battery in the vehicle key may be flat.

Emergency unlocking of the doors

Place the vehicle key at the outside edge of the
windshield on the
passenger’s side and, at the
same time, press the button (Fig. 33).
If the vehicle still cannot be unlocked:
1. Remove the emergency key from the vehicle key.

2. Unlock the driver’s door with the emergency key
and open:
lift the door handle and hold it.
Insert the emergency key in the door lock, turn
90° in the direction of travel and remove the
emergency key again (Fig. 34).
3. Release the door handle and open the door by
pulling the door handle again.
4. Switch on the ignition within 10 seconds to
prevent the alarm system from being triggered.
Emergency locking of the doors
1. Remove the emergency key from the vehicle key.

2. Open the driver’s door.
3. Lift the door handle on the driver’s door (Fig. 34
on page 68).
Insert the emergency key in the door lock, turn
90° against the direction of travel and remove the
emergency key again.
Successful locking is indicated by two flashes of
the emergency flasher.
4. Release the door handle and close the door.
The driver’s door is locked.
5. For emergency locking of the passenger’s door ,
insert the emergency key in the door lock of the
driver’s door again, turn 90° against the direction
of travel and remove the emergency key again.
The passenger’s door is locked.
Information
Only emergency lock the doors when the vehicle is
parked.

Unlock the doors before starting to drive.
Information
In the event of a central locking fault, all functional
locks in the central locking system can be locked via
the lock in the driver’s door.

Have faults in the central locking system repaired.
e
Visit an authorized Porsche dealer, as they have
trained technicians and the necessary parts and
tools.
