Home lights

Set light switch to

The following lights remain switched on for a certain
period to allow you to get in and out of your vehicle
safely and with improved visibility in darkness:
– Daytime running lights
– Courtesy lights in the door mirrors (on vehicles
with electrically foldable mirrors)
– Rear side marker lights
– License plate lights
Coming Home function (off delay)
When the vehicle key is removed from the ignition
lock, the lights remain switched on for the duration of
the off delay preset on the multifunction display
For information on adjusting the off delay of the
courtesy lights on the multifunction display:

Entry function/Exit function
When the vehicle is unlocked, the area around the
vehicle is illuminated for the duration of the off delay
preset on the multifunction display
The lights are switched off in the following cases:
– Ignition switched on
– When the
light switch position is changed
For information on adjusting the off delay of the
courtesy lights on the multifunction display:

Porsche Dynamic Light System
(PDLS)
Activating the dynamic cornering light and the
freeway function during darkness:

Turn light switch to
setting.
Dynamic cornering light
Above a speed of approx. 5 mph (8 km/h), the low
beam light is swiveled in the direction of the curve to
illuminate the road more clearly, depending on the
speed of the vehicle and the extent to which the
steering wheel is turned. In the event of a fault in the
dynamic cornering light, the PDLS warning light in
the instrument panel starts flashing.

Freeway function in darkness
The distribution characteristics of the driving lights
change when driving in darkness at vehicle speeds
above approx. 80 mph (130 km/h).
The light beam becomes longer, thus the field of
vision increases.
WARNING
Driving Without Lights
If you drive without lights, this may significantly
restrict your visibility and also the ability of other road
users to see your vehicle.

Carefully monitor the automatic headlights and
switch the low beams on manually if necessary.
e
Observe the country-specific laws for driving
with low beams.
