Information
Regular and expert car care helps maintain the value
of your vehicle and can be a prerequisite for making
claims under the vehicle warranty. Porsche recom-
mends car care products from Porsche Tequipment.

Please read the application instructions on the
packaging of the car care product.
e
Store car care products out of the reach of
children.
e
Dispose of car care products in the correct
manner.
To ensure that the condition of the vehicle is checked
professionally and the warranty is retained for the full
period: Contact an authorized Porsche dealer. They
will create a status report and also certify the
standard of care of the vehicle.

Water Film on Brake
Disks
After washing the vehicle, the braking effect may be
delayed and increased pressure may be required.

Check the brakes after washing the vehicle.
e
Allow a greater braking distance from the vehicle
in front and "brake" the brakes dry at intervals.
Ensure that this does not affect the traffic behind.

Chemical Cleaners
Cleaning agents may be hazardous to your health.
Most chemical cleaners are concentrates which
require dilution. High concentrations might cause
problems ranging from irritation to serious injury.

Keep cleaning agents out of reach from children.
e
Observe all caution labels.
e
Always read directions on the container before
using any product. These directions may contain
information necessary to avoid personal injury.
e
Do not use fuel, kerosene, naphtha, nail polish
remover or other volatile cleaning fluids. They
may be toxic, flammable or hazardous in other
ways. Only use spot removing fluids in a well
vented area.
e
Do not clean the underside of chassis, fenders,
wheel covers, etc., without protecting your hands
and arms as you may cut yourself on sharp-edged
metal parts.

Risk of damage to the vehicle or property from
cleaning agents.

Observe all caution labels.
NOTICE
High-pressure cleaning equipment or steam cleaners
may damage the following components:
– Convertible top
– Tires
– Logos, emblems, decorative films
– Painted surfaces
– Components and electrical components in the
engine compartment/technical equipment space
– ParkAssist sensors
– Reversing camera
– Wiper blades
No vehicle or convertible top is absolutely leakproof.
Water can sometimes leak into the passenger
compartment when cleaning the vehicle/convertible
top.

Follow the operating instructions provided by the
equipment manufacturer.
e
Do not use high-pressure cleaners or steam
cleaners to clean decorative films.
e
Always observe a minimum distance of 20 in.
(50 cm) when cleaning.
e
Never use high-pressure cleaning equipment or
steam cleaners with round-jet nozzles. A high-
pressure cleaning device or steam cleaner fitted
with a round-jet nozzle will damage your vehicle.
Tires are particularly susceptible to damage.
e
Do not point the cleaning jet directly at any of the
aforementioned components.
e
Before working in the engine compartment,
always switch the engine off and let it cool suffi-
ciently.
e
Never point the cleaning jet directly at openings,
e.g. spark plug shafts and air cleaner housing or at
the air filter. Cover the openings before cleaning.
