8. Hold the outer edge of the convertible-top fin
with both hands (Fig. 51) and push firmly into the
vehicle-side fastening on the rear luggage
compartment lid.
– Do not press the release button on the
convertible-top fin when doing this.
The convertible-top fin cannot engage correctly
when pressed in the centre.
– Ensure that the convertible-top fin engages
audibly and securely in the lock.
9. Reposition the convertible-top fins on the driver’s
and passenger’s side.

10. Check the underside of the fin.
The red marking on the underside of the fin
(Fig. 52) must not be visible.
– Then:
Check the right convertible-top fin from the right
side of the vehicle in the direction of travel.
Check the left convertible-top fin from the left
side of the vehicle in the direction of travel.
– If the red marking is visible, the fin is not engaged
correctly.

Perform the steps from „Engaging the
convertible-top fins“ onwards again.

11. Grasp the convertible top by the handle in the
passenger compartment and guide towards
the windshield frame. At the same time, pull and
hold the button for locking the convertible top
until the convertible top locks into the windshield
frame and the windows are in the desired
position.
The message on the multifunction display
goes out.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the vehicle. If the convertible-top
fins are not correctly engaged, they can become
detached when the vehicle is moving.

Make sure that the red marking on the inside of
the convertible-top fins is
not visible.
