Management (PASM)
PASM is a system for the active adjustment of shock
absorbers. The variable shock absorber system
individually selects the relevant shock absorber stiff-
ness for each wheel depending on the driving situa-
tion and driving conditions. Driving safety, agility, and
comfort are optimized.
Two different chassis settings can be selected by
pressing a button.
– "Normal Chassis"
– "Sport Chassis"
In normal mode, the vehicle is in a comfortable sporty
setting.
The "Sport Chassis" setting offers a distinctly sporty
shock absorber setting to be used on a race circuit,
for example.
Apart from the manual mode selection, the PASM
also adjusts the shock absorber setting toward more
sporty or more comfortable depending on the driving
situation.
Selecting PASM mode

1. Switch on ignition.
2. Press button (repeatedly).
The button lights up as follows:
–
No light indicator when "Normal Chassis" is
selected (standard setting).
– One light indicator when "Sport Chassis" is
selected.
In addition, the selected chassis setting is shown
briefly in the multifunction display.
Responding to warning message
PASM malfunctions are displayed on the multifunc-
tion display.

Information
The last selected chassis setting remains effective
even after the ignition is switched off.
