VU-ACD/100 Startup
The VU-ACD/100 starts up UNIX after a system reset or power restoration. The following procedure
describes how to restore VU-ACD/100 system operation when UNIX is rebooted.

Press any key on the keyboard.
NOTE: If starting the VU-ACD/100 from a
shutdown/power off condition, power on the host
and proceed to Step 2.

Type CONTROL-d to proceed with
normal startup, (or give root password
for system maintenance):
Hold down the
Ctrl
key and press the
d
key

Ctrl+d
).

Enter new date ([yymmdd]hhmm):
Press
Enter
.
NOTE: In most instances, the host battery backup
maintains the current date/time even during a loss
of power. If the date or time is incorrect, type the
correct data in this step.

(SCO OpenServer Login Screen)
(User Logon Screen)
The SCO OpenServer GUI Login Screen
briefly appears. No user input is required.
Type your VU-ACD/100 User Name and
password to obtain the Real-Time Display.

operational information.
