Troubleshooting
VU-ACD™/100 Maintenance Guide – Host/DOS
4.2.1.1
NOS_QUANTITY_OF_SVCS
Purpose
The
NOS_QUANTITY_OF_SVCS
office parameter specifies the number of switched virtual circuits
(SVC) in a DMS-100. This value directly affects the number of processes that can operate on a switch,
since there are as many incoming and outgoing tasks as there are SVCs.
Provisioning
The number of applications that require SVCs determine the number of SVCs needed.
NOS_QUANTITY_OF_SVCS
has the following range of values:
•
Minimum
0
SVCs
•
Maximum
60
SVCs
•
Default
5
SVCs
Activation
Activation requires a warm restart.
4.2.1.2
ACD_MIS_OUT_EVENT_BUFFER_SIZE
Purpose
The
ACD_MIS_OUT_EVENT_BUFFER_SIZE
office parameter determines the actual size of the outgoing
buffer that is allocated for ACD MIS sessions. The outgoing buffer stores replies and requests that are
made by the ACD MIS downstream processor (VU-ACD/100).
Provisioning
If
ACD_MIS_OUT_EVENT_BUFFER_SIZE
is set to the maximum value of 200, the buffer can contain up
to 150 queued replies and requests. If the buffer is underprovisioned, event messages are discarded when
an attempt is made to add a message to a full queue.
?
Any non-zero value in register
MISLOST
of the
ACDMISPL OM
group indicates under-
provisioning.
If the buffer is overprovisioned, excessive data store is allocated in the DMS-100.
ACD_MIS_OUT_EVENT_BUFFER_SIZE
has the following range of values:
•
Minimum
100
•
Maximum
200
•
Default
110
Memory Requirements
The following formula determines the memory requirements for an ACD MIS.
Number of Simultaneous ACD MIS Application Sessions X
(2400 + [Value of ACD+MIS_OUT_EVENT_BUFFER_SIZE x 48])
Activation
Do not change this parameter during an active session. The new buffer size is allocated as soon as a
session is logged in.
