5ESS PROBE
A probe is performed as an attempt to ‘discover’ any unknown
resources already assigned in the switch for this MIS.
The probe initiates a query for each ID number in the
provisioning ranges to see if the resource is assigned.
Any new resources found will be added to the local MIS
database.
