Appendix A
Tutorial

                                                                                                         

This chapter contains examples that guide you through step-by-step
demonstrations of some fundamental capabilities of the GPIB-410.  These
examples assume the following:

•

No devices are connected to the GPIB-410 interface board.

•

No input fields have been changed other than those on the
Configuration Settings screen.

•

The selected keyboard layout type is U.S. English.

When the hardware and software are installed, step through the following
examples.

Example 1 – Capturing Data From the GPIB

This example takes you through the basic procedures to set up and execute a
data capture of GPIB states.  In addition, you use the GPIB-410 monitor to
manipulate the GPIB.

If you are already running the 

GPIB410

 program, press <F2> to go to

the Main Menu screen.  Otherwise, start up the 

GPIB410

 program by

entering the following command.

gpib410

<Enter>
