6.19 WHEN SUCH A PHENOMENON OCCURS

[Reset Regeneration] (Automatic regeneration)
The exhaust temperature is raised to burn/remove
the PM for filter regeneration after 50 hours of
operation for the first time only. After that, it is
carried out every 100 hours of operation.
During regeneration, the exhaust temperature
alarm lamp illuminates on the monitor.
Reset regeneration is performed automatically, so
no special operation is necessary.
The exhaust temperature alarm lamp
illuminates during DPF reset regeneration,
but this is not a fault or malfunction, and the
machine can be used as normal.
[Stationary Regeneration] (Manual regeneration)
Even if automatic regeneration is carried out, if the
machine is idling with no load or operations with
low load are repeated, it may not be possible to
regenerate the DPF.
In such cases, the DPF regeneration request lamp
lights up on the monitor.
If the DPF regeneration request lamp lights up,
perform stationary regeneration manually.
For details on the stationary regeneration
procedure, refer to "6.19.7.2 DPF STATIONARY
REGENERATION" on P. 6-100".
DPF
STATIONARY
REGENERATION
IMPORTANT
• The machine cannot be operated at all
during DPF stationary regeneration.
Regeneration takes about 25 to 30 minutes
to finish.
Make preparations, such as securing the
work environment and refuelling, before
starting regeneration.
• The engine speed rises when regeneration
begins in order to raise the exhaust gas
temperature, but this is not a fault.
• If the machine is operated with the
regeneration request lamp still lit on the
monitor, there is a risk of DPF damage and
fire.
If the DPF regeneration request lamp is lit on the
monitor, be sure to carry out manual stationary
regeneration.
1.
Start the engine, and allow it to warm up until
the DPF regeneration acknowledgement
lamp flashes.
Regeneration can be performed while the
lamp is flashing.
