Inspect the O-ring mounted on the drain plug
(P), and replace it with a new one if it is
damaged.

After draining the oil, refit the drain plug (P)
and tighten it.
★ Tightening torque: 58.8 to 78.4 N ꞏ m
(6 to 8 kgf ꞏ m)

Remove the bolt (4) and cover (5). At this
stage, the cover may fly off because of the
spring (6), so press the cover down while
removing the bolts.
10.
Lift up the upper end of the rod (7) from above
to remove the spring (6) and strainer (8).
Remove any dust adhering to the strainer (8)
and wash it with clean diesel fuel or washing
oil.
If any damage is found in the strainer (8),
replace it with a new one.
11.
When reassembling, insert the strainer (8)
into the protruding part (9) of the tank.
12.
Mount the cover (5), and while pushing it with
your hands, attach the cover (5) with the bolts
(4).
Inspect the O-ring mounted on the cover, and
replace it with a new one if it is damaged.
13.
Pour the specified amount of oil in via the oil
inlet (F). Check to ensure that the level is
within the range H-L on the sight gauge.

BEFORE STARTING ENGINE" on P. 6-31.

Attach the cover (1) on top of the hydraulic oil
tank.
15.
After replacing and washing the hydraulic oil,
filter element, and strainer, bleed the air in the
circuit. For details on bleeding the hydraulic
circuit, refer to "6.19.5 HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT
AIR BLEEDING" on P. 6-96.
