PRECAUTIONS DURING
TRANSPORT
WARNING
When transporting the machine, decide on
the route taking into account the road width,
height, and weight.
• Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations
related to transportation.
• Road Traffic Law, Road Law (Vehicle
Restriction Ordinance), Road Transport
Vehicle Act (Safety Standard), Municipal by-
laws
• Survey the road width, bridge girders, height of
overhead wires, weight restrictions, and traffic
regulations in advance. Thoroughly examine
whether there will be any problems when
transporting the machine on a trailer.
• In some cases, it may be necessary to obtain
approval from the relevant authorities or
disassemble the machine for transporting.
Check with the haulier before transporting the
machine.
• For details on how to disassemble for
transporting, contact us or our sales service
agency.
PRECAUTIONS DURING TRANSPORT
When transporting the machine, there is a risk of
serious personal injury.
Strictly adhere to the following points when
transporting the machine:
•
Check the weight, height (when transported),
and total length of the machine carefully, as
these will vary depending on the type of crane
fitted.
•
When travelling over bridges or other
structures, check in advance that these are
capable of withstanding the weight of the trailer
and machine before deciding on the
transportation route.
•
When travelling on public roads, notify the
relevant authority to obtain permission.
•
The machine may have to be disassembled for
transporting in accordance with the relevant
regulations (such as the enforcement
ordinance of the Road Traffic Act). Before
transporting, contact us or our sales service
agency.
PRECAUTIONS WHEN LOADING AND
UNLOADING
Pay particular attention to the loading and
unloading of the machine, as there is a risk of the
machine toppling or falling.
When loading and unloading the machine, strictly
observe the following precautions:
•
Select level and firm ground for loading the
machine. Also keep enough distance from the
roadside.
•
Uses ramps with an angle not exceeding 15
degrees. Position the ramps to align with the
centre of the crawler tracks. The machine is
capable of climbing up ramps at an angle of up
to 20 degrees, but the ramp angle should not
exceed 15 degrees, as the machine may
become unstable.
•
Use ramps that are sufficiently wide, long,
thick, and strong and enable safe loading and
unloading.
Reinforce the ramps with blocks if they deflect
too much.
•
Remove any mud from the undercarriage to
prevent the machine from slipping on the
ramps. Remove any grease, oil, or ice on the
ramps and keep them clean.
Be especially careful in rainy weather when the
ramps may become slippery.
•
When loading and unloading the machine, be
sure to arrange the machine in the travelling
posture, and secure the hook block to the
machine body using wire ropes.
Refer to "5.3.2 MACHINE TRAVELLING
POSTURE" on P. 5-15.
•
When loading and unloading, set the engine
speed to low idle (low engine speed) and
operate by travelling the machine slowly.
•
Always travel in reverse when loading the
machine. Moving forward may cause the
machine to topple.
