TRAVEL MOTOR AIR
BLEEDNIG
Bleed the air only when the oil inside the
travel motor casing has been drained.
1.
Remove the cover at the rear of the travel
motor.
2.
Start the engine and run it at low idle.
3.
Loosen the hose (3) on port C, and if oil flows
out, tighten it.
4.
Stop the engine and raise the undercarriage
by referring to "[1] Method for raising
undercarriage by crane" on P. 6-98.
5.
Start the engine again and run it at low idle.
6.
Allow the crawler track on the raised side to
run freely in the air for two minutes.
When running the crawler tracks
unloaded, move them back and forth
equally.
Perform the procedures in Steps 3 to 5
for both left and right tracks.

crane
WARNING
• Be sure to conduct these operations on firm,
level ground.
• For details on the machine dimensions and
weight, refer to "3.1 MAIN SPECIFICATIONS"
on P. 3-2.
• Only persons qualified to operate cranes
may hoist the machine using a crane.
• Use only a sling (e.g. wire rope and
shackles) that has been approved and is
capable of lifting the weight of the machine.
• When hoisting, place the lock lever in the
lock position to prevent the machine from
moving unexpectedly.
• Never hoist the machine in ways other than
described below. Otherwise, the machine
may lose balance, which is dangerous.
• Prepare a packing block (550 mm by 550 mm)
to be placed under the track frame.
1.
Arrange the machine in its "travelling posture"
as shown in the figure.
2.
Slew the boom 90 degrees.
3.
Apply a wire rope for slinging (A) to the boom
and hoist the crane slowly.
To prevent the boom from being
damaged here, insert a pad (B) between
the wire rope for slinging (A) and the
boom.
4.
Insert the packing block (C) prepared
between the raised track frame and the
ground. Make sure it is well balanced.
5.
Slowly lower the machine down onto the
packing block.
At this stage, whilst lowering down the
machine, ensure that the machine is well
stabilized.
