MAINTENANCE EVERY
2,000 HOURS
[1] Cooling water replacement
WARNING
• Cooling water remains hot immediately after
stopping the engine, and the pressure
remains accumulated in the radiator.
Removing the cap to discharge water in this
state may result in burn injuries. Allow it to
cool down, then slowly turn the cap to
relieve the pressure.
• Start the engine. Before standing up from
the operator's seat or leaving it, set the lock
lever to the "LOCK" position.
Coolant replacement in the cooling system should
be performed using the intervals specified in the
following table:
Coolant type
Antifreeze replacement in the
cooling system
LLC or ELC
Every year or every 2,000
hours, whichever comes first
Stop the machine on a level place for cooling
system washing and replacement.
The mixture ratio for the coolant varies with
temperature, but a volumetric proportion of at
least 30 % is required.
Even in areas where antifreeze is not needed, use
the coolant at a minimum ratio of 30 % to prevent
corrosion in the cooling system.
The mixing ratio of water and coolant should be
determined based on past minimum temperatures,
in accordance with "Water and coolant mixture
ratio table" shown below. For actual mixing, select
a temperature approximately 10 degrees lower
than the minimum temperature.

WARNING
• The undiluted coolant is flammable. Make
sure there are no naked flames in the
vicinity.
• The coolant is toxic. When opening the drain
valve, be careful not to be splashed by the
coolant solution. If it gets in your eyes,
immediately wash your face with clean water
and seek medical attention.
• Cooling water containing coolant
discharged when replacing the cooling
water and repairing the radiator should be
contracted to a specialized subcontractor,
or contact us or our sales service agency.
The coolant is toxic, so never drain it into a
drain or pour it onto the ground.
IMPORTANT
• Always use tap water for diluting. Contact us
or our sales service agency if river water,
well water, or water from a small
water-supply system has to be substituted
for tap water.
• The mixing ratio of the coolant should be
controlled using the coolant concentration
meter.
• Prepare a container of at least 15 L to catch the
cooling water.
• Prepare a drain hose as necessary.
