MOMENT LIMITER
WORKING RANGE LIMITER
OPERATION
DANGER
This device is intended to stop the various
operations at the set limits. However, it may
not stop operations if incorrectly set or
operated, which could result in serious
personal injury.
When using this device, operate the crane
carefully without overestimating the ability of
the stop function.
When the preset working range limit is
approached, an alarm is issued to notify the
operator and persons in the surrounding area.
The working range limit setting retains the last
setting used even when the starter switch is
turned to the "OFF" position.
The following events occur when the working
range is set:
A. Safety area
• The applicable working range limit display
illuminates in orange.
• The working status lamp illuminates in
green.
B. Warning alarm
• The applicable working range limit display
flashes in orange.
• An announcement is given and the alarm
generates an intermittent "peep” sound.
The alarm buzzer is activated only when
the control lever is operated.
• The working status lamp illuminates in
green.
C. Limit alarm
• The applicable working range limit display
flashes in orange.
• The working status lamp illuminates in
yellow.
• An announcement is given and the alarm
generates a continuous "peep” sound.
The alarm buzzer is activated only when
the control lever is operated.
• Operations to move the boom toward the
limit setting stop.
5.4.10.1 SETTING/CANCELLING
BOOM HEIGHT UPPER LIMIT
Use the following symbol to set or cancel the
boom height upper limit:
The boom height is limited by detecting the boom
tip height.
[Setting]
Position the boom at the desired boom height
with no upper limit set, and long-tap the symbol.
The monitor display changes to orange, and the
boom height is set as the upper limit value.

Be sure to check before actual work that the
boom automatically stops at the preset boom
height. If the boom does not automatically
stop, reset the boom height using the above
procedure.

When the boom is in the warning alarm zone
or upper limit stop state, an alarm sounds
intermittently only if boom lowering or
extension is performed.

The preset value is retained even when the
starter switch is turned to the "OFF" position.
When the boom is in the warning alarm zone or
upper limit stop state when the boom height has
been set, the monitor display illuminates in
orange.
[Cancelling]
Long-tap the symbol with the upper limit value
set. The monitor display changes to blue, and the
upper limit setting is cancelled.
