BEWARE OF CHIPS WHEN WORKING WITH
A HAMMER
Working with a hammer may result in serious
personal injury due to pins flying out or metal
chips flying. Strictly adhere to the following
precautions:
•
Hitting pins or similar items may cause chips or
other fragments to fly out and injure people
nearby. Check that there is no one nearby
before starting.
•
Knocking out pins with excessive force may
cause the pin to fly out and injure people nearby.
Keep other people away from the area.
•
When hitting hard metal parts such as pins or
bearings, there is a risk of serious personal
injury from flying objects. Wear protective
equipment such as goggles, gloves, and a
helmet.
BEWARE OF HOT COOLING WATER
When checking or discharging cooling water,
ensure that the radiator cap has cooled down so
that it can be touched with bare hands, thus
preventing burn injuries from hot water or
high-pressure steam.
When removing the cap, first loosen it slowly to
relieve the radiator internal pressure.
BEWARE OF HOT OIL
When checking or discharging oil, ensure that the
cap and plug have cooled down so that they can
be touched with bare hands, thus preventing burn
injuries from hot oil spurting out or contact with hot
parts.
When removing the cap and plug, first loosen it
slowly to relieve the internal pressure.
BEWARE OF HIGH-PRESSURE OIL
Hydraulic circuits are constantly pressurised.
When checking or replacing pipes and hoses,
failure to ensure that the internal pressure of the
circuit has been relieved may result in serious
personal injury.
Strictly observe the following:
•
Never replace pipes or hoses while the
hydraulic circuit is pressurised. Be sure to wait
for the pressure in the hydraulic circuits to be
relieved before carrying out work.
•
If oil leaks, the pipes, hoses, and surroundings
will become wet. Check that pipes are not
cracked and that hoses are not split or swollen.
Be sure to wear protective equipment such as
goggles and gloves during the inspection work.
•
High-pressure oil leaking through a small hole
may puncture the skin or cause immediate
blindness. If this happens, rinse with flowing
clean water and seek medical attention as soon
as possible.
