Pass the wire rope (5) through the weight of
the overwinding prevention device.
6.
Secure the end of the wire rope (5) to the wire
socket (3), following the procedure provided
below.
1.
Draw the wire rope (5) through the wire
socket (3) as shown in the figure above.
2.
The rope wedge (6) should be in position
(a). Pass the wire rope (5) around the
rope wedge and yank at the rope in the
direction indicated by the arrow.
7.
Fix a rope clip (4) to the wire rope (5)
according to the dimensions specified in the
diagram above.
8.
Attach a wire socket (3) to the boom using a
wire socket pin (2), and tighten the wire
socket pin retaining bolt (1).
9.
Operate the right-hand control lever to the
"Raise" side (pull inside), or operate the
left-hand control lever to the "Extend" side
(push forward) to raise the hook block.
Do not operate the winch until after the
hook block has been raised.
10.
Use the boom fully extended and fully raised.
11.
While applying tension to the wire rope (5),
operate the right-hand control lever to the
"Hoist up" side (pull toward you) to wind up
the wire rope (5) onto the winch drum (9).
In this step, watch the irregular winding
check mirror (1) provided under the
winch drum from the operator's seat to
check for irregular winding.

WARNING
• Always wear thick leather work gloves when
handling the wire rope.
• Be sure to properly adjust the boom
telescoping wire rope as described here.
Omitting procedural steps or not adjusting
correctly increases the risk of the boom or
load falling.
[1] Boom telescoping wire rope inspection
Adjust the boom extending wire rope under the
following conditions:
1.
Fully retract the boom.
2.
Remove the four boom tip mounting bolts (1),
then remove the cover (2).
