When a 2M object is configured as an Add-and-Drop object in a client trail (i.e., it
receives traffic from another TU), an X is displayed over the 2M icon as follows: .
To view specific information regarding the connection, select the 2M object; the
name of the object is displayed in the designated area. The details regarding the
connection are shown at the bottom of the tributary internal view. The main
connection is indicated by a solid line, while the protection connection is indicated
by a dotted line. The active (listening) connection is colored yellow; if the protection
connection is active, the dotted line is colored yellow.
The alarm status of the objects displayed in the tributary drop connection state area
of the tributary module internals view are indicated by a color coded LED in each
object. The color coding for these LEDs is identical to that described previously in
this section.
When a maintenance operation is performed on any of the objects in the tributary
module internals view (both on the tributary objects and in the tributary drop
connection state area), a icon is displayed on the relevant object. To display a tool
tip with information regarding the maintenance operation, position the cursor over
the icon.
Maintenance operations can be performed on any of the objects displayed in the
tributary module internals view (both on the tributary objects and in the tributary
drop connection state area) by right clicking the object and selecting the operation
from the context sensitive menu. Table

6.2.2 Transmission Object Internals
To obtain a view of the transmission objects that belong to the various

SDM-1
objects, where relevant, double click the module from the
µ
SDM-1 Shelf View. This
type of window is displayed in Figure 6-4 below.
