SDM-1 NEs do not support routing table entries with subnet masks, only an entire
subnet or a host are supported).
NOTE
: It is recommended that you read the general parts of
eEM User Manual Chapter 4 before making the Routing
Table settings.
To add a Routing Table entry:
1. Click the Add Route button to access Routing Table edit mode.

: Once you are in Routing Table edit mode, you must
complete the edit operation, either by clicking Cancel or by
entering a valid routing table entry (refer to Table 5-1) and
clicking
Apply .
2. In the Destination Address/IP Address field, enter the destination IP network or
the IP address of the host. A validation routine in the software only allows you to
enter a legal IP address, based on the address class.
3. In the Route Next Hop field, enter the IP address of the Ethernet interface which
is connected to this NE. Note that this IP address must be on the same IP subnet
as the NE's Ethernet interface. A validation routine in the software only allows
you to enter a legal IP address, based on the address class.
4. Click Apply to accept the Routing table entry you just entered. After clicking
Apply, the routing table entry is displayed in the following format:
5. When you click Apply, the system performs a validation check against the routing
table. If any problems are detected (e.g., Network Address Exists, Overlapping
Subnet Exists), Click the
Problems button to display a list of the problems.
6. Follow Steps 1 through 5 to add additional Routing table entries.
