4.6 Cable Assembly and Connection

All cable connections to the

SDM-1 are made via the front panel of the unit. The

front panels of the various

SDM-1 models are shown in Figure

4-21 through Figure

4-27.

Table

4-2 and Table

4-3 list the interface connections.

CAUTION

It is important that you do not remove the plastic

covers protecting the optical (laser) aggregate connectors
until connecting the fibers.
