Mounting the Digital Distribution Frame (DDF)

Rack mounted DDFs are available with Krone connectors for 120

Ω

twisted pair

wiring or 75

Ω

BT-43, DIN (Siemens), or BNC connectors for coaxial wiring (up to

63 x 2 Mbit/s).

Figure

4-10 shows an example of a rack-mounted DDF with BNC connectors.

Rack Grounding

The rack is connected to the utility ground bar with a ground cable according to
ETSI recommendations (top or bottom connection). The

SDM-1 system subrack is

mounted on the rack with 4 holding screws and nuts, thus providing chassis
connection to ground.
