The
µ
SDM-1 comes with the tributary input connectors (J14, J16) and tributary
output connectors (J13, J15) assembled and wired on the NE side, with an open end
of the other side.
Use a schematic diagram of the site connections to associate connectors with the
appropriate DDF connections. Cut cables to the necessary lengths.
Preparation of 2 Mbit/s (Coaxial) Traffic Cables
1. Install the cable glands onto the strain relief shelf.
2. Remove the cable-securing nut from cable gland and pass the multi-core
coax cable through it. Push the nut over the cable jacket.
3. Insert the cable approximately 100 mm below the shelf.
4. Lock the cable in place using a spanner.
5. Use a schematic diagram of the site connections to associate NE connectors
with the appropriate DDF connections. Cut cables as necessary.
6. Assemble coaxial connectors on the cables.
