Icons that represent the alarm state and acknowledged alarm state are
displayed in the Shelf View and in the Card Internals View. These indicate the
alarm severity of the highest unacknowledged alarm and acknowledged alarm
respectively.

♦

An audio signal indicating the occurrence of an alarm. You can turn this on
and off. In addition, you can set the sound repetition interval and select an
audio signal melody.

6.4 Current Alarms

The Current Alarms window shows all problems currently present in a selected
network element, including severity, and text describing the problems.

It is possible to open multiple Current Alarm windows to display alarms for several
NEs simultaneously.

6.4.1 Viewing Current Alarms

You can locate the source of a problem at any time by viewing the current alarms
that are present at the network element.

To view current alarms:

1. Open the NE Shelf View by double-clicking the NE from the NE List.

2. Select the

Alarms

-

Current Alarms

option from the main menu. The Current

Alarms window appears:
