SDM-1 has no serviceable parts other than the

NVM. In the event of major unit malfunction, the entire unit
should be replaced. In the

SDM-1E, the only field

serviceable part is the TEX card, which can be replaced or
upgraded as required.
The NVM installed in the

SDM-1E is not compatible with

modules installed in SYNCOM

multiplexers.
