Vertical Rack Mounting

In this rack mounting option, four

µ

SDM-1/RD or three

µ

SDM-1E units can be

installed on a single vertical shelf; the shelf is mounted in the rack. To use this
mounting option, first install the units on the special rack mounting shelves supplied
with the system. The rack mounting shelves are suitable for mounting in 19" or ETSI
racks.

To prepare a

µµµµ

SDM-1 for vertical rack installation:

1. Place the

µ

SDM-1 unit upside down on a stable, clean desktop.

2. Place the mounting bracket on the unit, as shown in Figure

4-3, aligning the

holes on the bracket with the holes on the unit.

3. Insert and fasten six screws into the holes to attach the mounting bracket to

the unit.
