Chapter 3: AdminHD

Core Configuration: Editing Parameters

PTP Sync Port for RAVENNA

In a RAVENNA streaming network (IP Layer 3), the mc

/Nova

Core

can operate either as a PTP Master or Slave

(as explained in the "RAVENNA for mc

/Nova User Guide").

In both cases, you should use AdminHD to turn on the

Enable sync port

option, and define the RAVENNA PTP

sync port:

If operating as a PTP Master, then this is the port that will transmit PTP sync to the rest of the network.

If operating as a PTP Slave, then this port will "listen" for PTP coming from the network.
