Core Configuration: First Steps
Upload Options
The Core configuration can be uploaded to the mc²56 MKII in one of two ways:
For permanent changes, you should upload a new version of the cold start config.tcl file. This file will be stored
on the mc²56 MKII control system, and read following a cold start. Note that this method requires three stages:

Export the configuration as a config.tcl file.

Upload the config.tcl file from your computer to the mc²56 MKII control system.
·
Cold start the mc²56 MKII.
For temporary changes, or for installations where a cold start is not possible, you should upload your data to the
online configuration . This updates the online system without requiring a restart; AdminHD must be running online
to use this method.
The next few sections work through both options.
Before uploading new data, it is a good idea to backup the system's cold start configuration files.
