2. Purchase (Recommended Product)
Products meeting local power supply specifications should be purchased.
Proven Products
UPS name : Smart UPS 1500VA
(Model name when purchased in Japan : SUA1500J)
Serial cable name : InterfacekitC (serial cable for Linux)
(Model name when purchased in Japan : AP9824LJ)
While the above proven products may be purchased in various countries, model
names differ depending on power supply specifications.
The APC homepage available in the country of installation should be consulted for
model names corresponding to the above products.
3. Installation
For details of installation, refer to the product manual.
1. Operation
The operation of both recommended and non-recommended UPS is described below.
When the recommended UPS is used:
- Upon occurrence of a power outage, DRYPRO 793 will power down in the same way as when the
power switch is pressed.
- When a power outage occurs during printing, only the film being printed will be ejected after
which DRYPRO 793 will power down in the same way as when the power switch is pressed.
If a number of jobs remain in the print queue, printing will resume when power is next switched on.
Accidental disconnection of the serial cable during DRYPRO 793 operation will result in
power being turned off in the same way as when the power switch is pressed.
When non-recommended UPS is used.
- The power off operation effected by the recommended UPS is not guaranteed. Power will
switch off abruptly after the time during which the UPS is capable of maintaining power
elapses.
A sudden power switch off when the DRYPRO 793 power is on will result in failure to
properly store film data, etc.
2.5.4 Installing UPS (Option)
The procedure for installing the UPS in DRYPRO 793 is described below.
The serial cable used should be no more than 3m in length.
