1) Invoke the menu mode by touching the menu key.
2) log-into the service maintenance mode using
service privilege.
3) Touch the [SERVICE 2] button.
- The service settings screen will be displayed.
4) Touch the [PRODUCT SETUP] button.
- The product setting screen (1/6) will be
displayed.
5) Touch the [>] button at the bottom left.
- The next product setting screen (2/6) will be
displayed.

Turn the pattern so that the word "FRAME" can
be correctly seen and use a ruler to measure the
length of the unexposed margins at the left and
right edges of the frame pattern.
- No adjustments to the write start writing position
are necessary if the difference between the lengths
of the unexposed margins (A-B at left) is 0.5mm or
less. Proceed to section 4.4.3 Making Adjustments
of write start position in the Sub-scan Direction
(Vertical).
- If the difference between the lengths of the
unexposed margins is greater than 0.5mm,
adjustments must be made in the main scan
direction.
Proceed to step-2.

The procedure for making adjustments in the main scan direction is described below.
