Alarm outputs during transducer positioning
When you have confirmed the transducer distance in program branch MEASURING, and
the positioning for the transducers begins
(bar graph display)
(
see chapter 5.2.7),
all relay contacts
switch to their programmed de-energised state.
When you go to this bar graph display during measurement, the relay contacts will switch
to their programmed de-energised state. However, a alarm output of the type: HOLDING,
which was switched during the previous measurement, will remain in its programmed de-
energised state, after the completion of the transducer positioning, if the switching
condition is not met any more.
The same applies, if the key
is pressed during an on-going measurement. The
switching of the relay contacts into their programmed de-energised state cannot be
observed on the display.
Limit comparison with the measured value
The comparison between the limit and the measured value always operates on the basis
of 'smaller than' or 'greater than', i.e. the alarm output is energised, when the measured
value exceeds or falls below the programmed limit:
Limit
Function
Measured value
Relay switches
0.00 MAX
0.00
no
0.00 MAX
0.01
YES
0.00 MIN
0.00
no
0.00 MIN -0.01
YES
To obtain a alarm output, when the
flow travels in negative flow
direction:
Select Func: MIN for the alarm output and
program as lower limit = 0.00.
But if you want, that the relay shall
already switch, when the measured
value reaches 0.00:
Select Func: MIN for the alarm output and
program as lower limit = 0.01.
Limit comparison for total flow quantity
The comparison between the set limit and the current total flow quantity is always
performed on the basis of 'greater/equal than', i.e. the alarm output switches when the
total count reaches the programmed limit:
Limit
Function
Total flow quantity
Relay switches
10.00
QUANTITY
9.90
no
10.00 QUANTITY
10.00
YES
Alarm output operation and update
Relay contacts, which have been programmed
FUNC: MAX
or
FUNC: MIN
, will be
updated
once per second
at the most, even with a maximum measuring rate selected in
program branch SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
(see chapter 7.7.4, display S9-4a)
. This way, a
permanently fluctuating measuring value around the limit does not constantly trigger the
relay ('relay humming').
