6.4 Set-up of the Damping Factor
The damping factor is the integration time of the calculated gliding average value. Strongly
fluctuating readings caused by high flow dynamics require a larger damping factor. Under
normal flow conditions, the default value for the damping factor is set to 10 s.
30 s
Damping
O8
Enter the necessary damping factor, which
can be set in the range
from 1 to 100 s
and
confirm the input value by pressing
ENTER
.
6.5 Storage of Measured Values with Internal Data
Logger
FLUXUS stores the measured values in its internal memory (data logger) if this function is
enabled.
no >YES<
Store Meas.Data
O9
Select
YES
to activate the internal data
logger.
(See also chapter 6.7 for the set-up of the
Storage Interval)
The next display in program branch OPT will
handle the set-up for the 'Serial Output'.
With the start of the measurement, FLUXUS stores the following data sequentially in its
memory if the data logging function has been enabled by selecting YES in display O9
'Store Meas. Data':
1. Date
2. Time
3. Number
of
measuring
point
(if this input was
entered before the start of
measurement. See chapter
5 'Program Branch
Measuring')
4. Pipe

6. Transducer

7. Sound

8. Transducer

9. Damping

10. Storage

11. Quantity

measurement
12. Unit
of
measurement
13. Number
of

values
14. Measured
values
Attention!
FLUXUS stores the parameters of max. 100 measuring points. However, each stored
parameter set for a measuring point reduces the remaining internal memory capacity
for the measured values of this measuring point.
OVERFLOW !
DATA MEMORY
F6
FLUXUS
interrupts the measurement
if the
internal memory is full. This error message will
appear.
Confirm the message by pressing ENTER.
The MAIN MENU will appear.
Note:
FLUXUS continues with the measurement, even when the internal memory has been
completely filled,
if
another output option
(serial output, current loop, frequency
output, pulse output, alarm output, voltage output) has been enabled. In this case,
the storage of measured data stops. The error message F6 'VALUE MEMORY
OVERFLOW' appears periodically.
Explanations of how to output the stored measured data, can be found in chapters 7.2 Printing of Measured
Values, 8 Measuring Data Transfer to Personal Computer.
