NOTE
A unicast VRRP backup group can track three interface monitoring groups at the same time.
l
A unicast VRRP backup group can track two interface monitoring groups on the access side in
normal mode (
link
is not specified). When the link failure ratio on the access side reaches a
specified threshold, the unicast VRRP backup group reduces the priority of the local device to
trigger the remote device to preempt the Master state.
l
A unicast VRRP backup group can track one interface monitoring group on the network side in
link mode. When the link failure ratio on the network side reaches a specified threshold, the local
device in the unicast VRRP backup group changes to the Initialize state and sends a VRRP
Advertisement packet carrying a priority of 0 to the remote device to trigger the remote device
to preempt the Master state.
l
Associate the unicast VRRP backup group with BFD.
1.
Run the
system-view
command to enter the system view.
2.
Run the
interface loopback
loopback-number
command to enter the view of the
interface on which the unicast VRRP backup group is configured.
3.
Run either of the following commands:
–
To associate the unicast VRRP backup group with a common BFD session, run
the
vrrp vrid
virtual-router-id
track
bfd-session
{
bfd-session-id
|

name
bfd-configure-name
} [

–
To associate the unicast VRRP backup group with a link or peer BFD session, run
the
vrrp vrid
virtual-router-id
track
bfd-session
{
bfd-session-id

l
Associate the unicast VRRP backup group with CGN.
1.
Run the
system-view
command to enter the system view.
2.
Run the
interface loopback
loopback-number
command to enter the view of the
interface on which the unicast VRRP backup group is configured.
3.
To associate the unicast VRRP backup group with a specified service location backup
group, run the
vrrp vrid
virtual-router-id
track
service-location
service-location-

[

] command.
4.8 Configuring Basic Functions of a VRRP IPv6 Backup
Group
This section describes how to create a VRRP IPv6 backup group, configure basic VRRP IPv6
functions, implement the master/backup IPv6 mode, and optimize VRRP IPv6 backup group
parameters.
4.8.1 Before You Start
Before configuring basic VRRP IPv6 backup group functions, familiarize yourself with the
usage scenario, complete the pre-configuration tasks, and obtain the data required for the
configuration.
Applicable Environment
Usually, all hosts on a network segment use default routes in which the next-hop address is the
same gateway address. The hosts use their default routes to send packets to the gateway and the
