bit-error-detection
Bit error detection is enabled on the trunk interface.
By default, bit error detection is disabled on a trunk interface, and if a member interface
detects a bit error, the trunk interface is in bit error state.

10.4 Configuring Bit-Error-Triggered Trunk Update
This section describes how to configure bit-error-triggered trunk update.
Usage Scenario
After configuring bit-error-triggered trunk update, if a member interface encounters a bit error
event, the member interface goes Down, and the trunk interface disables the member interface
from forwarding traffic. After the bit error event on the member interface is over, the interface
goes Up, and the trunk interface enables the member interface to forward traffic again.
A trunk interface goes Down when the number of member interfaces in the Up state falls below
the configured lower threshold.
Pre-configuration Tasks
Before configuring bit-error-triggered trunk update, complete the following tasks:
l
Enabling Interface-based Bit Error Detection
l
Enable Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) globally.
Procedure
Step 1
Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2
Run either of the following commands:
l
To enter the Eth-Trunk interface view, run:
interface eth-trunk
trunk-id
l
To enter the IP-Trunk interface view, run:
interface ip-trunk
trunk-id
Step 3
Run:
bit-error-detection
Bit error detection is enabled.
----End
Checking the Configurations
After a trunk member interface encounters a bit error event, run the following commands to
check the configurations:
