node uses MPLS-TP
OAM to advertise the
bit errors to the egress.
MPLS-TP OAM sends Alarm Indication
Signal (AIS) packets to advertise the bit
error state.
This
function
can be
configured
when bit-
error-
triggered
static CR-
LSP or PW
switching is
configured.
Associati
on
between
bit errors
and IGP
routes
If bit errors occur on
both the primary and
backup LDP LSPs, no
LSP links are
available. To prevent
traffic loss, associate
bit errors with IGP
routes.
This association function allows you to
set an interface BER to indicate quality
of existing links. The interface BER can
trigger a routing protocol, such as OSPF
or IS-IS to change the link cost value so
that traffic can be directed to a link with
a smaller BER, which helps prevent
packet loss.
This
function is
independen

Associati

bit errors
and static
routes
An association
between bit errors and
static routes can be
configured in a native
IP+L3VPN scenario
to prevent service
interruptions on native
IP links.
This function sets a static route for a link
with bit errors to inactive so that traffic
switches to a bit-error-free standby link.
This
function is

Bit-
error-
triggered
RSVP-
TE
tunnel
switchin
g
This function
processes bit errors
that occur on both the
primary and backup
LSPs when RSVP-TE
tunnels with hot-
standby configured
are established to
transmit services.
Bit-error-triggered RSVP-TE tunnel
switching enables traffic to switch
between the primary and backup LSPs in
an RSVP-TE tunnel based on the LSP bit
error status, minimizing the impact of bit
errors on services.
This
function
can be used
separately
or used with
the bit-
error-
triggered
PW or
L3VPN
switching.
