Procedure
Step 1
Install a SIM card for the modem.
Use a tool such as the small screwdriver to press the yellow key. Put the SIM card on the
ejected tray, and insert the tray into the SMS modem.
Step 2
Attach the antenna (BOM number: 27010824) to the skylight connective plate or the top plate
of the network cabinet outside the contained aisle. Connect the antenna cable to the antenna
port on the modem.
Do not use the antenna delivered with the modem.
Step 3
Connect the serial cable.
Connect a cable from the modem to an idle serial port on the server. For the position of the
serial port, see the documents delivered with the server.
For the connection method, see the documents delivered with the modem.
If the serial port on the server does not match the connector of the serial cable, use the serial cable
adapter delivered with the modem.
Step 4
Connect the power cable.
Use the power adapter delivered with the modem.
Connect one end of the power adapter to the modem. For the connection method, see the
documents delivered with the modem.
Connect the other end of the power adapter to the 220 V power supply through a power
connector (BOM number: 14190143).
After connecting the power cable, switch on the power supply. The modem indicator should
blink regularly.
