Outline of protection function

• Troubleshooting flowcharts, referred to Protection Codes displayed on Outdoor Unit:

Protection Code on Outdoor Unit

Measure the resistance on compressor’s terminals. Normally, the
detected values must be the following:

Between U(R) and V(S): 1

Ω

Between U(R) and W(C): 1

Ω

Between V(S) and W(C): 1

Ω

Start only one Indoor Unit by remote controller.
After 3-minute delay, does compressor start?

Does error (Error Code display) occur again even after compressor
has operated for a certain time?

Check refrigerant amount inside refrigerant circuit, by measuring
pressure values.

Faulty compressor. Replace it.

YES

Intervention of protection for compressor overcurrent.

YES

The display shows

“

P3”.

Faulty compressor. Replace it.

If refrigerant charge is correct and pressure values are normal,
replace Outdoor Unit’s main PCB.
