7.3. Pre-charge fault troubleshooting method:

Troubleshooting steps

Use a multimeter, adjust to the DC voltage range (the range can reach 1000V). When one person starts the vehicle,
the other person uses the multimeter to measure the DC bus voltage of the MCU. The vehicle can be powered on
normally only when it reaches 95% of the normal voltage. If it fails to meet the requirements, please continue
troubleshooting according to the following methods.
If the DC bus voltage is about 300V, first measure whether the battery voltage is correct. If there is no problem, please
check whether the defrost, heater and other switches of the vehicle are on. If it is off, please remove them from the
high-voltage power distribution cabinet one by one. Defrost, heater output wiring harness, start the test again, and
the vehicle can start normally, which proves that there is a problem with the defrosting or heating switch panel and
low-voltage wiring harness.
If the measured DC bus voltage is about 0V, first measure the battery voltage separately. If there is no problem, please
check whether the fuse above the DC bus in the high-voltage distribution cabinet is conductive (if open circuit needs
to be replaced). If there is no problem, check whether the pre-charge relay is sticked (pre-charge relay needs to be
replaced if sticked).
If the measured DC bus voltage is about 500 + V, connect ODIN to see if the Sysfile reports a fault. If there is no
fault, find HighPowerVoltage in the software and drag it to the blank. Check the value when it is not started. If it is
directly large Negative value, you need to replace theMCU. If it is about 0V, start the vehicle to see how much the
value can be. If the value reaches more than 500V and falls below 300V, check whether the main positive relay in
the high-voltage power distribution cabinet is closed. Ask the vehicle manufacturer to replace the main positive relay.
If you are using our VMU, please find HardwireSignals under Controller on the right side in ODIN2, drag the entire
Out folder to the left margin, and find whether the pre-charge Relay becomes 1 when startup. Prove that the vehicle
has sent a close order for 1.
