To select a desired size of the text, adjust the number.
Hide Text
The whole text is hidden on the screen but not deleted.
Home
This button resets the cursor to its default position on the screen.
Layer A
Text layer A is activated as active page and the layer is displayed on the screen.
Layer B
Text layer B is activated as active page and the layer is displayed on the screen.
Layer A + B
Both layers are displayed on the screen.
Trackball
Set text cursor or text position.

Set: To fix a text when there is an active text. Switch highlight off if on.
•
Grab word: Only possible if the text cursor is positioned oever a text and text
color has changed to green. If Grab Word is pressed, then the word nearest to
the text cursor is highlighted. If the button is pressed sequentially, always the
next entered word is highlighted.

Word Delete: Delete the last entered word.
7.3.2.1 Editing Text

To select a word/text group the cursor must be placed upon the text group. If the
cursor is placed upon the text group, the font color changes to green indicating
that the text group can be selected. With Set the text will be selected.
In fixed mode the text cursor can be positioned over a word of an existing comment
and the word can be modified without pressing
Set.
1. A virtual keyboard will appear on screen when the desired text is seleted and
flashing. There are several ways to grab a text for editing.
1.1.
Grab Word hardkey (Upper trackball key): If Grab Word is
pressed, then the word nearest to the text cursor is selected
and grabbed. If the button is pressed sequentially, the next
entered word is always highlighted.
1.2.
Select the desired text on the US image to edit using the
virtual keyboard.
2. Place the cursor on a starting point and begin typing on the virtual keyboard or
use the backspace key ro erase the letters.
3. To complete editing, press
Set hardkey or touch anywhere in the US imaging
area. The cursor stops flashing and the text color changes from green to yellow.
Note
The text cursor is not visible when the system is not in annotation mode or the
cursor is moved out of the annotation area. The two character modes, Insert and
Overwrite have different cursor widths.
Annotated text remains if the probe or setting is changed. End Patient/Exam deletes the text
annotation.
