General Precaurions
Do not touch the safety switch inside the machine. High voltage that can cause electric shock may result. Injury
may also result from the turning of gears.
Do not use flammable sprays near the machine. Fire may result due to the high temperature parts inside the
machine.
If the cover becomes abnormally hot, smoke is emitted, or a strange smell or noise is emitted, remove the pow-
er plug from the outlet and contact your dealer. Fire may result.
If liquid such as water enters the inside of the machine, remove the power plug from the outlet and contact
your dealer. Fire may result.
If a foreign object such as a paper clip is dropped inside the machine, remove the power plug from the outlet
and contact your dealer. Electrocution, fire, or injury may result.
Do not operate or assemble the machine except as indicated in the user's manual.

If the machine is dropped or the cover is damaged, remove the power plug from the outlet and contact your
dealer. Electrocution, fire, or injury may result.
Remove the power plug from the outlet periodically and clean the base of the prongs and between the prongs.
A fire caused by a short circuit may result due to dust accumulating at the base of the power plug prongs if the
power plug is left in the outlet for an extended period of time.
Do not vacuum spilled toner with an electric vacuum cleaner. Vacuuming spilled toner with an electric vacuum
cleaner may result in ignition due to sparks from electric contacts or other reasons. If toner is spilled on the
floor, etc., gently wipe it away with a wet rag, etc. to ensure that the toner does not scatter.
Do not insert objects into the air vents. Electrocution, fire, or injury may result.
